In Thailand, I have found my ISP’s DNS servers to be slow and censored.
Upon setting up EtherGate, I decided to pick up some public DNS servers to replace my ISP’s.
However, I noticed that many public DNS offers consider filtering a ‘feature’ not a bug! Their filtering is intentional!
We all know that no filtering regime is perfect. Whether government, scholastic or corporate, all overblock.
So I was interested in finding completely free and uncensored DNS which would protect my privacy.
This is the list I came up with:
Google
8.8.8.8 IPv6 2001:4860:4860::8888
8.8.4.4 2001:4860:4860::8844
OpenNIC
106.186.17.181 Japan
85.126.4.170 Austria 2a03:f80:ed15:ed15:ed15:ed15:12c6:1f60
151.236.10.135
198.100.146.51 Canada
78.138.97.33 Germany
78.138.98.82
Censor free
89.233.43.71 Denmark 2002:d596:2a92:1:71:53::
89.104.194.142 2002:5968:c28e::53
Public-Root Global Root Server
46.244.10.116
Can anyone add some of their favourites to it? Or suggestions...
