4.07 upgrade removed "VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Servers"

Post by robertotomas » Fri Jun 06, 2014 11:09 am

The list for individual servers at vpngate does not give SoftEther VPN Connection Setting import-friendly config files .. I tried repurposing an openVPN config file and I couldnt get it to work (I have the network stuff, the CA and the CCA in .. Im thinking maybe the username has to be set to something, I just have "anonymous" for now because it was not in the openSSL config). The guide says that to connect you have to use the "VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Servers" icon .. which is what I did with the previous version.

However in 4.07, that option is gone.

How am I supposed to get individual servers from the list, or get that icon back so I can connect again?

Sorry, but I couldn't reproduce your problem.

Please make sure that you certainly installed the latest version of SoftEther VPN Client with VPN Gate Plugin from http://www.vpngate.net/en/download.aspx web page.

Is there anyone who has the same problem?

Check whether there is both "VpnGatePlugin_x64.dll" and "VpnGatePlugin_x86.dll" files on the directory same to "vpnclient.exe" or "vpnclient_x64.exe".

If there are no such .dll files, it means that "SoftEther VPN Client with VPN Gate Plugin" has not installed correctly. In such case, retry to install "SoftEther VPN Client with VPN Gate Plugin".

dnobori — thank you. I needed to get the client plugin too. :) Problem solved.
