Does anyone know how to set the VPN clients IP without using DHCP.
I've made a network diagram of my situation
1) I need the instructions to tell the client person how to set their IP. - is it right that they change the ip on the virtual network adapter?

2) Since client computer (windows 7 or 10) will then have 2 connections - one to the internet and one into a vpn onto my lan. Two connections! How can they force applications to use the vpn connection instead of the internet ?

ok I got it working.

1) Yes they can set their IP using the VPN virtual adaptor - make sure this is in the range of the LAN they are connecting to.
Otherwise tick the secureNAT DHCP service( with the secureNAT part turned off).

2)
While this does not force - I think it helps prioritize
To prioritize one network adapter over others in Windows
go to run-> ncpa.cpl
Press Alt to display menu above.
Select Advanced - then Advanced settings.

In the top box you can re order the priority with the arrows.

Also the metric is used - goto
run ->ncpa.cpl
right click on the adaptor- properties -> TCPIP4 -> properties
then advanced - the lower the metric the higher the priority - compare your adaptors.
