Post by littlejonny17 » Fri Nov 17, 2017 12:21 pm

Hi, recently I switched from windows to mac but there is no Softether VPN client avaliable for mac OS sierra.

I installed the latest tar.gz avaliable for mac but I dont know how to configure the vpn connection. Can someone help me?

Or instead send me the link for Softether GUI v1.0.3? I have SoftetherGUI 1.0 but i cannot use special characters in it.

Ty

Could you try to run the SoftEther VPN Client Manager on Wine?

Hello. using a VPN is easy on the Mac. There's a built-in VPN and Proxy you can use in the system preferences.
System Preferences > Network > Click on the + > Add a VPN (I2TP over IPSec) and add an IP on VPNGate as the server address.
(Make sure pick an address that has L2TP as an option)
Account name "vpn"
Click on Authentication settings
Password and shared secret are "vpn"
Click ok
Click on "Advanced"
and enable "Send all traffic over VPN connection"
Click OK
Click on "Apply"
and start Connection.

If you wish to use an external program; There's an OpenVPN called 'Tunnelblick'
I explain it more in this tutorial on Imgur (However I used VPNBook instead of VPNGate in this example)

Hope it helps.
