I setup a vpn server on Ubuntu with 2 hubs: hub1 and hub2. these 2 hub connected by a L3 switch :
hub1 interface ip 192.168.1.222
hub2 interface ip 192.168.2.222
VPN server ip: 192.168.1.253
GW ip: 192.168.1.254
I can't ping 192.168.1.222 from 192.168.1.253, but I can ping 192.168.1.254 and 192.168.254
192.168.1.222 and 192.168.1.253 are on the same server, Is the ping packets blocked by the security setting of the linux?
Thanks

Re: L3 switch can't be ping on linux vpn server
Here is some additional information:
from the bridge server wich cascaded the hub 2. I can ping 192.168.2.222, 192.168.1.222, 192.168.1.254 (the router ip of the opposite network). But 192.168.1.253 and 192.168.1.222 are all can't be ping.

Re: L3 switch can't be ping on linux vpn server
I reinstall a win7 to replace the linux and it works now, but created another issue.
I can ping the opposite gateway in the l3 switch, but very unstable. always timeout.
Both VPN server and bridge are using build 9651

Did you add route to opposite network on VPN server?
