Hi

I have setup SoftEther vpn server, wants to authenticate via LDAP. From the fourm found that LDAP is not supported. To have LDAP authentication, need to have RADIUS Server.

But in forum found different Radius server mention, like free radius server, radius-ldap server and RADIUS-LDAP proxy (converter) program.

Please let me know which version or type of radius server to install. also help me with installation steps.

Thanks
Venky

The only thing you need to consider is SoftEther can communicate with the radius server correctly.

The source where the passwords come from is not important to the SoftEther VPN Server software. You can also use Active Directory authentication in your radius server.

I have no information on pure LDAP server, but you should be able to setup LDAP server using samba.

The net is full of articles on how to configure this.

http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/archived/LDAP ... adius.html

They can be on the same server, but not necessary
