Connecting with openVPN client on linux.

Post by markhorrocks » Mon Oct 19, 2015 11:26 am

I have a softether vpn server running fine on an ubuntu server and can connect ok using windows or l2TP over IPSec clients but not openvpn.

If anyone can provide a sample config file for an openvpn client I would be most grateful. I want to connect using udp port 1194. I have not setup a listener for port 1194 as i believe i don't need to? The server firewall (iptables) is allowing :1194.

You can download sample configuration from open vpn settings in VPN server.
If you want to use TCP 1194, you should add 1194 to listener port list.
