Ping to remote pc from within LAN

Post by ABPT » Tue Nov 10, 2015 6:00 am

Hi I have installed SoftEther on my local server and have users connecting remotely.

The Remote PC can ping PC's on the LAN but PC's on the LAN can't ping a remote PC.

The result from the Ping sent from 192.168.100.76 is:-
Pinging 192.168.100.115 with 32 bytes of data: (this is a remote PC)
Reply from 192.168.100.251: TTL expired in transit. (this is local VPN server)
Reply from 192.168.100.251: TTL expired in transit.
Reply from 192.168.100.251: TTL expired in transit.
Reply from 192.168.100.251: TTL expired in transit.

Ping statistics for 192.168.100.115:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),

I look forward to a reply
Regards

Norman

Why the VPN server has two adapters which are in same network address range?

If ping succeed, it means bidirectional communication is available.
So, it's strange.
Did you succeed ping with same pair as failed try?

Too much information on the VPN settings file... :) Are you using bridge or securenat ? Is it a specialized network card with hardware offloading capability ?
