Post by 501ari5 » Thu Dec 24, 2015 11:25 pm

Hello,

Could anyone help me confirm that whether the OpenVPN protocol works with the VPN Azure or not?

Hope to get some replies soon.

Thanks! Much appreciated!

Regards,

Andy

Unfortunately, OpenVPN it does not work with VPN Azure.
VPN Azure supports only SSTP protocol.

501ari5 . You did not say what platform you wanted to use it on. If you are thinking Android I recently came across a package on Play store that is designed for SSTP and mentions that it has support for Softether. Thats the good news. The bad news is that it is not free and its not OpenVPN. I have not tried it yet. But it did get my interest up as its SSTP on something other than Microsoft. If you get there first please let us know how it goes.

It could be great to have SSTP support on Android as I have always been wanted to use that protocol to connect to one of my VPN servers via mobile handsets. I would give that a try.

BTW, any plans to support SSTP on iOS?
