SoftEther External Requirements

Hi,
I am trying to create a LAN to LAN bridge between two networks. I tested the software internally using two separate VLANs and got the system to work and communicate between the two with a server and a bridge.
Now when trying to implement this into the actual environment I have found my self stuck. I cannot seem to get any communication even though the two sites are connected, Just wondering if this is a firewall issue or router issue?
