Which ports do I have to open?

Post by Don-Santo » Mon Jun 27, 2016 6:42 pm

I try to use SoftEther’s HTTPS Protocol that original SSL-VPN protocol to establish VPN Tunnels! At the moment I don’t use this legacy VPN’s.
At the end of the VPN Server software installation there is that window “Manage VPN Server localhost” with a “Listener List (TCP/IP ports): eg. TCP 443, TCP 992, TCP 1194, TCP 555 each Status is “Listening”.
Now my question. Which ports on my NAT-Router do I have to open to get access to the vpn-server from the internet? One port, all 4 ports, or none of them?

Hello!
To administer the server or bridge, You have to forward 443 port
if You use any other port to connnect to server than You have to forward the remaining ports also.
if You want to connect to Your VPN network from an iphone You should forward the 500 and 5400 ports also
for UDP protocol, otherwise the phone will not connect.
