I am using SecureNAT..........to access my network workstation and my (2) NAS
Why would I keep seeing these notifications on my syslog server when I start SoftEther VPN
[****************] (2016-07-12 14:38:03.089) <SERVER_LOG>: On the TCP Listener (Port 443), a Client (IP address 127.0.0.1(licensing), Host name "**************", Port number 1774) has connected.
[*****************] (2016-07-12 14:38:04.621) <SERVER_LOG>: Connection "CID-1-7439C60B68" terminated by the cause "A client which is non-SoftEther VPN software has connected to the port." (code 5).
It is looking at my HOSTS file.......how do I prevent this
Thanks

Re: Why is SoftEther accessing my local machine HOSTS file
I think because of the setup of the network node type.
You can change sequence by changing the node type but preventing is not an option as far as I know.
Additionally I wouldn't do that either.
If you don't trust SEVPN, you shouldn't use it.
