Force client to use password every time, and not save

I have scenario where I wish user to have to enter password when connect to VPN, and not be able to save in client software. How is best way to accomplish this?

As a dirty method, if you drop write permission of the setting file of the VPN client, you can prevent the password from being saved.

That is a great idea. Just looked, and I don't immediately see a settings file. Would you know what it is called, and where it is located?
