Hi there,

I have Softether running on a Surface Pro 3 i7 8gb of Ram Windows 10 x64.

I can remotely connect to the VPN using the client on my other computers however the connection is sssooo ssslllooww.

My home connection for the server is 100/40 fiber connection.

Remote machines use 4g connection.

Running a google speed test on a client machine while connected to the VPN has a download rate of less than 1mbps, typically 300-400kbps. Why is this the case? I have re-installed the server and clients multiple times.

I have set the server up using the default settings on the setup page. The only thing I have tried to change is disabling NAT-T on the clients and using data compression on the clients. Didn't help at all.

I don't recommend to use Data Compression function.
But, it may not impact such.

How throughput can you get between the remote device and the home without the VPN?
