Post by Thegermak » Sat Jul 30, 2016 9:42 am

There isn't default gateway IP address on virtual NIC.
Assign default gateway address.

Hi thank you for your advice.
I have changed my infrastructure and I am using only the server in Greece and the client in the UK. Now it works but I get very slow download speed 40-60k. My broadband speed in Greece is 18mbps. Any suggestions please?
Thanks

Are you really sure you have 18mbps? please log into that machine and run a speed test.
Also have a look at the cpu utilization. I once configured a bridge in a wrong way, which caused the cpu utilization to hit 100% which caused the connection to be very slow

Connection is 18Mbps, CPU is 4-7% and ram is 20%

Which version of softEther are you using?

You are using SecureNAT and not a bridge, correct? Because I know of a major improvement in SoftEther in 2015 regarding SecureNAT. Maybe you have an old version.

In all cases, using a bridge is always recommended over using SecureNAT. Maybe you can try it if you are not using it already

Also out of fun, can you try installing SoftEther server on another machine with the same setting and see if there have been any changes. I'm using myself digitalocean in London and getting full speed
