Andriod does not connect.

Post by TinkerMan » Mon Jan 21, 2019 12:08 pm

Hi all. I have installed version 4.24 build 9651 on a Raspberry Pi in 2017 and it works very well for iOS and Windows. But Andriod wont connect.
Was there an issue with that version ? Should I upgrade to resolve it ? If so is there an easy upgrade method ?

Kind Regards.

I had the same problem, I had to alter the ssl cipher order to get any android device to connect. this will fix the issue but I cant remember which android cipher i moved to the first position and i'm away from my server. SSLlabs has a list of ssl ciphers for each os, you can find the info you need there.

Could you explain more about your configuration etc?
Android version, VPN protocol, App, network configuration, error message.

go to encryption settings, select AES256-GCM-SHA384 from the encryption algorithm drop down box. i use the built in android l2tp client works on android 7,8 and 9. make sure all of the l2tp ports are forwarded on your firewall.
