4.19 to 4.22 migration & upgrade

Post by wowbagger » Thu May 04, 2017 10:13 pm

Hi all,

Thanks for such an excellent piece of software!

We are running SE 4.19 b9599 server on Ubuntu and clients (Linux / Windows) are using different SE Clients like 4.22, 4.21 etc. I now want to move SE to CentOS and upgrade to 4.22 b9634.

- Install SE 4.22 b9634 to CentOS
- Copy the vpn_server.config from 4.19 to the new 4.22

Are there any other files besides vpn_server.config I need to copy over?
Is there a problem with the clients still using the older SE Clients?

Thanks!
W

Yes.
If there is 'chain_certs', please copy it too.

No. There is compatibility.

Thanks for you reply.

I moved from Ubuntu to CentOS in 5 minutes without any hassle at all.
Started up and all the remote clients just connected again.

5 stars!
