Error 1 and no solution

Hi Everybody,
since last week we have the problem that we can not connect to the server any more.
We always receive the error 1 message.
Nothing has changed on the configuration, nothing has changed on the setup/hardware,....
I have tried to resynchronisation of the time for every computer
The Service on the server is running
clients have been reinstalled, we are using latest release 4.2.2
but nothing changed.
It doesn´t matter if I am within the LAN of the Server or outside, the error is there.
Certificates are in place and checked again, still valid....
I have no clew any more.
Anybody here who has the same problems or a solution?
