VPN Client MAC address assignment
Hello,
I'm running the latest version of SoftEther VPN Server on Debian 8. I'm using my own DHCP Server (SecureNAT is completely disabled). Everything works fine. But i did not found a way to give a client a fixed IP address, because the VPN server does not give the same MAC address to the client, when the connectuon order of all clients changes. Why is this? Is it even possible to assign a fixed IP to a client with my external DHCP server?
Best Regards

Re: VPN Client MAC address assignment
L2TP client doesn't report own MAC address to the server.
So the MAC address is generated from session name.

Before i had a openswan Server, where it was possible to set fixed IP's to the usernames, so are you sure, there is no way to achieve this in SoftEther?

Re: VPN Client MAC address assignment
SoftEther VPN server can accept multiple session by one user.
Then, in your way, MAC address will conflict.
If you can handle the problem, please improve the SoftEther VPN code.
