Force Chrome to NOT use VPN? SoftEther+VPNGate Client

I tried doing some googling but I didn't find what I was looking for at all. Is there any way to Use SoftEther with VPNGate and have certain programs not use the VPN? Or alternatively make only one program use the VPN? I'm very new to VPNs

This seemed promising until I got the error "Unacceptable Operation. Use the VPN Gate Utility to modify the connection setting for VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Servers." when trying to save after setting "No adjustments of routing table". And I can't find that option anywhere in the VPN Gate settings.
