Good morning, to start, I am not that techy but always try.
I had a IT tech setup my system to run SoftEther on my server computer and hook up my boss in another location so that he can remotely log in and use our quickbooks system. So far for past 4 years has worked flawless.
Here is my issue..... I am moving to a new area and will have a different ip address and likely different internet provider. In order for me not to loose my job as this is one of the conditions in my move, what will I have to change in this application to make the transition smooth and we both continue to operate as we are now. Is the only thing that will need to be changed is the ip address?
We run this system using a modem, then a router is connected so all computer details run through the modem. The computer is hardwired to the router as well.
The IT tech who originally set this up is no longer available to reset this. So any help would be greatly appreciated. Again I am not overly familiar of the setup myself but willing to try what will be directed to me on what to do.
Thank you for the time to read my post

Yes. Try out your VPN Azure address before the move, it can serve as a temporary backup access if new IP is dysfunctional.
