I've just set up a SoftEther server on a Linux Mint based system (bare metal, not a VM), and everything is connecting properly, I can access services and shares, but as soon as I try to copy any files via SMB explorer locks up and eventually fails.
As a test, I tried creating a new blank text file on a target system through the VPN, which was successful, so I know the samba service and shares are working. I also know the speed of the network is fine, because services like Teamviewer and nice and zippy and have no issues.
I'm not using SecureNAT or Virtual DHCP, so the IP getting assigned should be from my own router where the server is located.
I've attached my server config with any passwords/hashes stripped out
Thanks for any help!

SoftEther VPN is forwarding Ethernet frames only and should not affect any IP services.
I think you should try to copy files in your local network without using the VPN and see.

Re: Samba shares accessible, but any file copy fails
My local network has been established for a long time, and it works just fine. I'm trying out SoftEther to see if I can use it to get access to local shares and services from a remote location.
Edit: Also I can tell the VPN is working properly because I'm getting web access through it just fine on http/https.
Tracert shows first hop is my router back at the location the SoftEther server is located, and public IP is also for that location. A few other things like Teamviewer LAN access, Plex Media Server, and Steam all can see other devices on the network just fine, and as I said, I can browse my samba shares, but I get zero throughput when I try to copy anything to the remote client. This includes pulling from the client as well as pushing from the local network.

What VPN protocol are you using? Can you do a PMTUD(both through the VPN and your own LAN)?
