At first, sorry for my bad English .
I had a problem when running the Softether VPN Client
It shows 【unable to connect to the vpn client service operating on local computer.
make sure the vpn client service has started and is running normally.】
I'd referred the website below but I don't know how to check to see that VPN Client manager service is listening on port 9930.
【viewtopic.php?t=4019&p=9577】
Any further information I will post it in attachment below
Can't open the VPN Client.

Re: Can't open the VPN Client.
I have exactly the same problems.
It doesn't start.
And I can't update the Softether VPN Client either, the new update can not replace the vpnclient_x64.
I can't uninstall it, and I can't even manually delete it!
It all happened after I upgrade to Windows 10
Helps needed and will be appreciated.
Thank you

cinlung, I think that if you want to uninstall the Softether VPN Client,
go to control panal>administrative tools>services
then find the VPN client service
choose properties and set the startup type to manual
Restart your computer.
Then you may uninstall this Softether VPN Client already .

Try B1 Vpn, B1-Vpn is an app which enables you to connect anonymously to any public/shared network. You will be able to send and receive data through an encrypted point to point connection enjoying full security, privacy and functionality (Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Skype, VoIP and any other Website) by connecting to our VPN network.

Re: Can't open the VPN Client.
Hi Eng Seng,
I didn't know that.
I went to Safe Mode in Windows 10 ( it is not hitting f8 like previous windows ), I uninstall it from there. Still there were 2 files I couldn't delete.
I had to restart after uninstallation, then only I could detele the last 2 files.
Until now, I have not reinstall the latest version cuz I doubt VPN Gate is actually compatible with Win 10.
The SoftEther latest version works with Win 10 though.
Hi George,
Thanks, I will try that.

Re: Can't open the VPN Client.
Ok, it works on my Windows 10 now.
Suggestion:
- Delete VPNGate totally before upgrade to Windows 10
- You need to go to Safe Mode in Windows 10 to delete VPNGate that was installed before Windows 10
- reinstall the latest version VPNGate to Windows 10, it should work. It works for me.
