Windows 10 VPN Replacement

Hello,
I don't know much about VPNs but I've just configured the Windows 10 built-in VPN on my company "server" (it has Win10Pro) and my laptop's Windows 10 VPN to connect to my company server.
It worked immediatly but seems to have an erratic behaviour.
Is it possbile to setup a very simple VPN with SoftEther just to replace the buil-in Win10's? If so, is there a document that shows how?
