Hi,
I just found out that my softether bridge is running fine even that the interface has not ip at all.
My question is should de interface run allways in promiscuous mode or it's ok if I setup a ip on it.?
Which one is the right way to setup the briged interface.
Thanks.

Interface bridge should allways run on promiscuous mode??

This is normal behavior and the recommended configuration.

SoftEther Layer-2 bridging requires promiscuous mode, but it is okay to set IP addresses on the promiscuous interface.
However, SoftEther does not carry bridged network traffic to any IP address on the promiscuous interface. The IP address on the promiscuous interface is only visible to the LAN. On a computer that is running services and has only one ethernet interface, configuring Layer-2 bridging is difficult.
