Re: Certificate Based Authentication with OpenVPN Clone Func
Is this something that a contributor can add to the software since it's open source or is that not even possible?

Re: Certificate Based Authentication with OpenVPN Clone Func
Well, this is a question. In the abstract the answer would be "Yes, sure, this is a great idea!". In our day to day life there are many cons to contribute to this project since the developer does not support other coders. Simply there is no even a road map of the project, so you do not know what to expect from the developer and other contributors. Another problem is the developer does not properly react to any activities that the contributors have done, i.e. a number of good ideas have been hanging in the issues for months. There is no feedback but it is priceless if some one wants to develop something good.
All in all, yes, you (or any other person) may contribute, but since the developer has not been showing any interest to his project you should think twice ahead.
And remember, nobody promised you nothing ;-)
Other issue is a reason you want to use OVPN clone function, especially with cert auth. Just install the original OVPN server and use its full functionality. I can see no reason to use OVPN from SE.
Cheers.
