Is there any way to get softether to take a username with @ in it?

Ideally, I'd like to use email address as username.

I don't think it is possible to do this because in L2TP function, the username will be (username)@(virtual hub name).

Hello, actually yes you can as I found this was desired to match our users email just like you've mentioned.

Create a virtual hub with the appropriate domain (yourbiz.com) - now your users can sign-in with (username@yourbiz.com). Each Virtual Hub requires a name when created, by naming the Hub your domain(yourbiz.com) it's just like your email.

Have fun,

I think it will only work for non-Softether VPN Client because Virtual Hub is defined seperately for connecting with Softether VPN Client.

Correct, if you are using a connection such as from a PC or mobile device such as iPod/iPhone this naming works as mentioned.

Using the SoftEther VPN client allows you to choose the hub and therefore not requiring '@', so the username would be just as entered upon creation.

When SoftEther goes opensource and all features enabled, then you can tie in external authentication for preferred method.
