OpenVPN stuck on 'Waiting for VPN server"

Hey guys,

I'm wanting to replace my OpenVPN server with Softether. However, the .ovpn file the system gives me does not work for me. Instead the "OpenVPN connect" client hangs on "waiting for vpn server".

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

it would be great to see the connection log file at least...
