I have the error code 2 problem as well. I am located in the U.S. If I connect to any out of country public VPN server I get error code 2. If I connect to the U.S. server at 24.243.190.158 I have no problem in getting Softether vpn to work. I am on a phone company DSL ---

Ah HA! Here is the solution!!! solve the error 2 problem by using "UDP" rather than "TCPIP"
So -- you choose your server and get a page appearing that gives you a choice of TCPIP (recommended) or UDP. choose UDP and you are 'good to go' -- You should make a connection with no problem!
Now the question is -- Why does SoftEther recommend using TCPIP rather than recommending UDP?
