SoftEther VPN User Forum

Hello,

VPN Server Manager and VPN Client Connection Manager both are intensively trying
to connect to "puiblic10.softether.com:443" at startup and at connecting to management interface of a VPN Server. I had blocked this connection via firewall but it repeats trying eagerly (1000 connection requests or so) thus slowing down the user interface for a couple of seconds.

My question is: what is the reason behind these connections?

My OS is Windows 7, I had turned off SoftEther VPN's all external services such as VPN Gate, DDNS, VPN Azure, keepalive connection and UDP hole punching.

This is DDNS connection for confirming its own global IP address.

So why 1000 attempts then? It hangs for several seconds if specified URL is not available.

Your problem may be related to following issue.
Please update your software.
