First time using SoftEther Client - How to connect to VPN Se

Hi all,

I'm using SoftEther VPN Client 4.0 on Windows 8.

I've never used SoftEther before, or VPNs for that matter.

I'm attempting find and connect to a free VPN server located somewhere in Japan (Tokyo is preferable) to allow me to appear as if my IP originates in Japan. This is to enable me to play an online game unavailable in my part of the world (Europe).

I am not sure exactly how to use SoftEther to connect to a Japanese VPN server, or where to find a list of Japanese VPN servers. Also, I uninstalled Internet Explorer on my PC a long time ago. Do I need to reinstall it to get the 'Import IE Proxy Server Settings' button to work?

If someone can provide a step-by-step guide on how to connect to a VPN server that will cause my IP to appear to be based in Japan, I'd be very grateful. I have not had any success locating such a guide online and I am an absolute beginner when it comes to SoftEther.

It seems this guide is for Linux. Is there one available for Windows 8?

Also: I'm trying to connect to a SoftEther server located in Japan. Any SoftEther server located in Japan - to allow my IP address to appear to be a Japanese IP (preferably one located in Tokyo, since that's central Japan and has good access to the Japanese server grid).

Remember: My goal is to make my IP appear as a Japanese IP address. I'm trying to play a game that only allows Japanese IP addresses.
