Trying to connect Android using ddns

I am not sure of the settings. I followed the instructions precisely but I am using a dynamic DNS address. It tried to connect but disconnects almost immediately. This has occurred with every phone I have tried and on both ddns servers I have tried. Is the DDNS causing issues or is there a setting I need to adjust on my host?
What are the common errors?

If the VPN session starts, then DDNS is working properly.

Many cellphone carriers mangle or artificially restrict VPN sessions over obvious protocols like PPTP and L2TP. Use a tunneled protocol that connects to port 80 or port 443 like OVPN or SSTP instead.

Past that, you should provide ISP information and the SoftEther vpn_server logs to get a better answer.

Thank you. I am using Boost mobile for my phone. It is very possible that they have some time of VPN restriction.
I will experiment using your suggestions and see what happens.

Did you configure port forwarding on VPN Server side router?

Actually, no. I am using a charter business router and they do not allow customer access to router config. The ports that it is trying to connect through should be open already though... I will look and see if I can specify a port I know is open. until now, I just gave up. My PCs connect fine so I haven't been overly concerned.

I couldn't ever get it to connect. Still can't get in to forward ports so I gave up. You can actually find a list of the ports on the softether site though.
