hello all , My name is Gianni and I'm newbie of softher VPN forum. I would like to be able to access an sql database remotely. I have a server with MS server 2012 Foundation and MS sql server 2008 express installed on it. I have configured 2 database on this server and I access them with an ERP software with the usage of BDE installed on each PC clent of the internal lan. Now I want to set up Softether VPN server on the MS server 2012 foundation and I want to connect to the sql database from a remote computer running an ERP software and windows 7 pro. Please inform if this is possible and if someone can help me to configure properly. many thanks.

This is a very basic question ;)
Just install Softether server somewhere on the local lan where the SQL servers are.
Create a virtual hub with a bridge connection to you're lan.
Install softether client on the remote PC and connect to the virtual hub.
Voila, you're remote PC is part of the local lan as if you are not remote.

Hi , sorry for my basic question ;-) and many thanks for your reply ! I understand your words, I read some more the documentation but I have just one more basic question. My server has only one ethernet adapter. which is advantage to use two ethernet adapters instead of one only?

No, the softether server won't cause more traffic on the lan interface then a normal client.
