Greetings.
I know that on a mac you should enable the L2TP or PPTP protocol to allow for "easy" access to the VPN server, but I'm working at a company that does not allow any of these protocols. This means that I am stuck with the Softether VPN server, from a macbook without a GUI application to connect to the server.
The below info is fake, just to help with exemplify.
Server: vpn.company.com
Port: 443
User: andersuser
Pw: thepassword
How do I use the command line commands to connect to the server? I have downloaded the command line commands and I have compiled them with "make". I have also run tests.
Again - the server ONLY uses proprietary encryption. L2TP, PPTP or anything else is not available and I am not admin so I cannot fix that.
Please help? Step by step would be awesome.
Cannot connect mac to proprietary Softether Server

Re: Cannot connect mac to proprietary Softether Server
Okie, I can stumble a bit into the setup process, but I'm not there yet.
After compiling programs:
sudo ./vpnclient start
OK
sudo ./vpncmd localhost /CLIENT
Vpncmd command - SoftEther VPN Command Line Management Utility
SoftEther VPN Command Line Management Utility (vpncmd command)
Version 4.11 Build 9506 (English)

Connected to VPN Client "localhost".
VPN Client>niccreate
NicCreate command - Create New Virtual Network Adapter
Virtual Network Adapter Name: VPN
Error occurred. (Error code: 31)
Installation of the Virtual Network Adapter device driver failed.

Niclist shows me zero Virtual Adapters. I create one and get an Error Code: 31. What am I doing wrong?

How about using OpenVPN?
