softether client/server not working
I have a SoftEther server up and running. I tried connecting from my Windows computer. I can connect with my Client Manager but it doesn't change my internet connection. My IP is unchanged. Also, it isn't possible to connect to my server from Windows built-in L2TP/IPsec with a pre-shared key.

The virtual network adapter received an IPv6 address, an autoconfiguration IPv4 address, and a subnet mask. It did not receive a Connection-specific DNS Suffix or a Default Gateway.

I found a solution:
Server Manager > Manage Virtual Hub > Virtual NAT and Virtual DHCP Server (SecureNAT) > Enable SecureNAT
And you might want to take a look at this:

Re: softether client/server not working
For a solution, there needs to be more information.
Do you have a DHCP server giving addresses in the network where the server is?
Are you testing on the same network (the server and the client in the same lan)? If so, the DHCP server won't give another address to the virtual VPN interface (that would serve nothing anyway).
