can not ping users in the same network subnet

Hi everybody.

It facing a strange problem, we use raspberry pi to deploy in offices and places where we need to access the local network, so we developed a debian linux image with the all bell and whistles to deploy it and let it connect to our vpn and be manageable from our network.
Every raspberry has his own fixed ip address and routes to access the another vpn virtual hubs and it works, but since a couple of days the raspberries are not anymore accesible, i see the connections on the windows vpn connection manager and if i disconnect one it reconnects but the fixed ip that it assigned and was running for months doesnt reply to ping anymore.
We are really desperate because we had already de rasps deployed in really isolated areas and places and getting them back, should be a big problem and probably make us forget vpn softener a a stable vpn system.

Do anyone know whats is happening?

Server: Running on debian wheezy, VPN server version 4.12 build 9514
Clients: Raspbian wheezy, VPN Client 4.08 build 9449

Did raspi crash?
Did you set any watch dog timer on raspi?
