Basic Cluster Configuration
Hello,
I am having some trouble setting up a two VPS cluster.
The two VPS's are running CentOS 6.5. One is configured as the controller and the other the member server.
I am able to connect the client to this setup however, there is no outbound internet connection for the client.
I've tried creating a bridge but the TAP driver does not register / show on the VPS after being created by the VPN manager software.
What needs to be done so that the client can access internet after connecting to the cluster?
Thank you.

Re: Basic Cluster Configuration
If your VPS is based on OpenVZ technology you need access to create tup/tap. As your VPS provider.
As for route Internet through VPN enable secureNat but in cluster it is not possible ( https://www.softether.org/4-docs/1-manu ... Clustering )
You have to share Internet manually.

Re: Basic Cluster Configuration
So, the solution will be to create a tap device? Then users will be able to connect to internet via the cluster?
Is this the same as bridging the VPN server? Thank you!

Clustering is more for connecting to the private area

In this case tap will let you get connect from server host to private lan. It lets you do more, but not automatically.

Re: Basic Cluster Configuration
I would think that Clustering is more for load balancing? Is there any way to load balance without clustering?
I wanted to use clustering in order to load balance between VPS's.

Yes, it do load balancing for hundreds clients. And it do fault-tolerance.
If you have only few clients you don`t need this.

Re: Basic Cluster Configuration
Thank you for your continued response to my issue.
It looks like clustering is the right option for me. My goal however, is to allow outbound access to the internet for the clients.
To do this, I would need to create a bridge from the hub to a TAP device on the VPS. Is this correct?
