Why is there no TLS encryption enabled on this server? And while we're on the subject, why don't any of the binaries come with hash digests? Someone malicious could totally MitM some poor guy's connection and replace those binaries with something else and he'd never know!

So no response after more than a week? Is this not the appropriate venue to air these concerns?

I have similar concerns about this forum when I wanted to register and discovered no HTTPS connection was offered.
