Disable routing to the Internet through VPN tunnel
Hi,
I installed a VPN server and Client on Windows first time today. Everything works well, but I when I access any Internet website, whole traffic is routed through a VPN tunnel which is undesirable for me.
Is it possible to configure Client to route through a VPN tunnel only comunnication which belongs to thel remote LAN subnet?
Thanks for your advices.

In advanced settings, try to tick no adjustment of routing table and see if it works.

Set the metric of you're vpn adapter to a high value instead of automatic (e.g. 999).

Then what is it used for? Using Windows' built-in route command will cause the internet traffic route through the VPN again after certain time.

You also need to set a high metric in your VPN adapter in Control Panel.

Hi,
Is it possible to Disable routing to the Internet through VPN tunnel by using server setting only? It is because clients may change the setting on their computers. Thank you for the advices.

Re: Disable routing to the Internet through VPN tunnel
'no adjustments of routing tables' option means not adding route to VPN server.
If the option is checked, VPN session is disconnected by losing route to VPN server when virtual NIC get default gateway IP address.
