Installed on a Proxmox host in a VM and for some reason get an extremely slow download speeds through the VPN (Less than 1Mbit/s in most cases) yet the upload is fine.

Currently using a KVM full virtualization host running Arch, tried it in an LXC container as well same problem.

I've tried both secureNAT and bridge, it doesn't seem to make a difference (No I didn't have them both enabled at once)

I have another ARM based machine elsewhere running Ubuntu that's able to pull 50Mbit/s even with secureNAT

Chech your client version and upgrade to the lastest. I had a similar problem. I was thinking the connection was failing, so slow it worked. Then, I noticed that it was indeed working, but at inacceptable speeds with long lags. Since I upgraded the client, no issue so far.
