SoftEther VPN Client Manager not opening
Posted: Fri May 13, 2016 8:26 pm
Greetings,
I'm currently using vpngate-client-v4.21-9613-beta-2016-04-24 on Windows 10 64-bits.
Every time I try opening the SoftEther VPN Client Manager(even as administrator) a warning pops-up saying "Unable to connect to the VPN Client service operating on Local Computer. Make sure the VPN Client service has started and is running normally." This program used to work a few days ago, and now it doesn't.

Things I've tried:
Restarted the internet
Restarted the computer
Reset the TCP/IP stacks
Start/Restart the SoftEther service
Ran program as admin
Disabled anti-virus
Disabled firewall
None of these seemed to work. If someone would help me fix this, I'd be very grateful.
I'll be waiting for your reply. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: The only thing that has kind of worked was running the 32-bit version, but whenever I try connecting to a VPN through the 32-bit version, even if it states "Connected", it doesn't work. I still need help.
