Softether VPN not waking from sleep mode - new user.

I am new to Softether VPN (and VPN's in general) and using the 'latest beta' software (since yesterday) for simple home use.
I have setup the Softether VPN server on a Windows 10 PC and have it working using L2TP over IPSec and have forwarded UDP ports 500 and 4500 in my router etc.
The only two clients I use, when away from the home LAN is an Apple iPad and iPhone and they seem to be connecting and working okay so far (touch wood)... I can access files and view the server using RDP apps etc.
I have not implemented DDNS as I have a static IP address and so I disabled that in the config file and I have switched off all the other stuff that I don't use... Open DNS etc.
However I have now encountered one small problem... If I put the Windows 10 PC into 'sleep' mode overnight and resume the next morning ... Then for some reason I can't connect to the VPN... If I then reboot the Windows 10 PC, then all starts working again just fine.
I assume the Softether VPN service is not resuming properly when the PC is returning from sleep mode.
I have a solution (fix) which is to use the Windows task scheduler to reboot the PC at certain times after wake-up, but I was wondering if anyone here has encountered this issue with Softether VPN software before and perhaps may have a better solution to fix this issue.
This is my first post, so I would also like to say 'Hi' to everyone here and I do appreciate I have a lot to still learn about this software... So forgive me if I ask (or say) some stupid things in the coming days/weeks, as I begin get to grips with this new venture into tunnelling over the net.
Kind Regards...
Ken
