Hi there, why don't you host the SE server on one of your three sites instead of a VM on a cloud ?, If you don't have extremely big traffic (lost traffic per second can't be affordable), then go with your scenario, otherwise i would really suggest hosting the SE in one of your three sites
Note : my suggestion as good as you provide more details, if you need a better suggestion you have to provide me more details
