VPN will not connect.

Hi all. I have been searching for a good VPN for awhile now, and a friend in the USA referred to SoftEther. I have downloaded and installed the latest version of the software (version 4.28 Build 9669, Beta). It is at this point I became a little lost as to how I am to configure the program, so it will allow me to connect. I have created the virtual adapter, but am now stuck, scratching my head as to how to set up the VPN setting properties. Can anybody out there either direct me to actual help files (The help tab in client manager only tells me about the software and offers no actual help at all), or alternatively advise me what needs to be done so the VPN will work and connect. My location is in Australia.
