I have installed softether on my home server (actually in a chroot environment, which I added to my Zyxel NAS). I use the openVPN-mode and connections from outside work fine.
However, I found out that I can access all machines in my local net using the vpn, but not the machine softether is running on. Thats a pity because its the NAS with all my files on.
I found a discussion on this topic wehere it is explained, that this is a given limitation of te linux kernel. As a workaround, a tun-device could be used:
https://github.com/SoftEtherVPN/SoftEtherVPN/issues/298
However, as I am running softether in a chroot environment, i am not able to define a tun-device. I think the reason is, that the kernel does not have the needed module.
Is there another way to allow of the server itself via vpn?

jba
