Slow Connection
Posted: Tue Jun 11, 2019 11:46 am
Hi...
The tests are still not OK - very poor performance. Maybe it's because my machines are located in Europe?
The other features of SoftEther are great but the product is not usable for the end users due to the slow throughput.
Is there any alternative to SoftEther?
Thanks in advance
Hi !
My connection is very, very slow.
Maximum transfer speed for a 18 MB file copy: 85 kbps (yes, it’s poor…)
Here are the details of my SoftEther configuration (server side and client side)
SoftEther Server :
Throughput on Server side :
Ping : 2 ms
Down : 72 mbps
Up : 80 mbps
SoftEther VPN Server: Win 2012 R2, 8 GB RAM, Intel Xeon CPU E5-2420 v2 2.2 Ghz
LAN IP address : 10.205.241.28
SecureNAT is disabled
SoftEther VPN used on server side on port 443
Encryption is disabled
SoftEther Client :
Throughput on Client side :
Ping : 4 ms
Down : 92 mbps
Up : 91 mbps
SoftEther VPN Client (Ver 4.29, Build 9680, rtm)
Client desktop Win 7 Pro, Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM
LAN IP address : 192.168.1.36
VPN Adapter dynamic address : 10.205.241.20
SoftEther Client VPN set up on port number : 443
NAT-T is disabled
Number of concurrent TCP connections : 16
Disable UDP acceleration is left unchecked (ckecking it get the things worse!)
Network traffic test speed tool (file attached)
Nothing particular in the three log files on the SoftEther VPN server.
I also tried to connect from a SoftEther Client from another high-speed location, on a Windows 10 Pro desktop. Same issue.
Any ideas?
