Communication with server from VPN side

Hi
I have installed SE VPN server on ubuntu 18.04. Server has only one LAN adapter.
Everything is (almost) perfect except i can't ping/ssh the address of that Ubuntu server from the client side.
Is there any way to solve this, not buying 2nd LAN adapter?
