Why Vpnserver Need To Open UDP 40000-40012

Hi All
Because our company's firewall operators found that firewall has a large number of UDP 400012 connection records from vpn client to vpnserver.
So,I do not understand that which function need to open UDP 40000-40024 port for vpnserver.
