SoftEther VPN User Forum

Hello.

I tried to use SoftEther with tethered connection from either Android smartphone (Xperia) or iPhone,
but I noticed that despite SoftEther could connect to a server using my tethered connection,
my IP address did not change on VPN Gate site.

I can use SoftEther with my wired connection and after SoftEther is connected to a Tsukuba server,
my IP address on VPN Gate site is the IP address of Tsukuba and not my So-Net IP address.

But if I use my tethered connection with my Android smartphone, even if SoftEther is connected to a Tsukuba server,
my IP address on VPN Gate site is my au (KDDI) IP address instead of Tsukuba IP address.
I can open any site but the IP address is still my au IP address.

Would anybody mind to help me setting up SoftEther to use tethered connection properly?

And for the second question, if I create a new connection setting in SoftEther, how do I know if I connect to the server using TCP or UDP?
If I use VPN Gate relay servers, SoftEther will ask if I want to use TCP (default) or UDP.
All connection settings I created in SoftEther do not ask this.
