one way traffic

Post by yklee » Wed Mar 25, 2020 11:42 am

Hi,

I'm using a wireless router at home like many people and I have the router's VPN client activated to connect to one of the Softether servers through OpenVPN. However, it seems to me that such a set up is a one-way road. That is I can't connect to my router or my PC through port forwarding or remote desktop because the public IP of my router is now the IP of the SoftEther server and it doesn't forward any traffic to my own router whatsoever. Is there a way to overcome this? I sometimes need to access files on my PC when I'm on the road.

Thanks.
